As Portofino has aged, the menu has become a true culinary work of art and through the direction of jerry 's training as a sommelier the wine list has become a valuable asset in the dining experience. For a restaurant almost 40 years old, the menu is fresh and current with seafood and pasta being the main focus. While many Detroit area iconic restaurants have faded into the past, Portofino remains vibrant and alive. Jerry's persistence and determination, the same determination he has used for his status as an Ironman Triathlete, continues to drive service, quality and atmosphere at Portofino.
